Back in October 2014 Jayne Ray, President of Cancer Support France – Gascony suggested at the General Meeting that she and her husband might ride the Canal du Midi from Toulouse to Marseillan on the mediterranean.  That was the suggestion that launched 'Cycle for Life' - an annual event raising awareness and funds for Cancer Support France.

In June 2015, over 50 riders took part in a 5 day Canal du Midi cycle ride from Toulouse to Marseillan.

Following the success of the first event, in 2016 a route was organised for a Canal de Garonne cycle ride in September to coincide with CSF Activity for Life.

In 2017 the route returned to the Canal du Midi and Canal de la Robine over 4 days from Carcassonne to Sète in June. This third CSF Cycle for Life was held in memory of Linda Shepherd, the CSF founder who sadly died in March 2017 aged 64.

2018 was the most ambitious challenge yet with an 11 day route covering 590km over 11 days 'Entre Deux Mers', from Bordeaux to the Mediterranean coast.  Participants flew in from around the world to take part! The event raised over 10,000€ for the national charity, funding the training necessary for CSF listeners across France.

Whether a novice or experienced cyclist, you can take part in one or more sections of the route in 2019, please just register to let us know to expect you. Whatever your motivation to take part - our aim is to make this a fantastic and fun experience to be remembered!
